Or rather, Dave Adams who portrays Mojo.

We first encountered Mojo Sam the Yoodoo Man (a mixture of yoga and voodoo), in the second ZBS production Moon Over Morocco (1974). In later adventures Mojo becomes Jack's closest and wisest friend. Jack describes him as "...more paranoid than I am."
About two years ago, we were contacted by a fellow interested in making a documentary about ZBS. Since this is our 48th year, we’ve accumulated a bit of history. The idea was to start with the radio commune days of the 70s, then continue thru the 80s & 90s, into this century, and finally to where we are now. He’ll be interviewing the original Zeebers, including Meatball Fulton & Tim Clark, as well as the actors, engineers, artists, and a few fans too.

During a recent film shoot, Dave Adams (Mojo) came up from Philadelphia to be filmed in our studio. Dave talked about working with Robert Lorick (Jack) over all these years, what it meant to him, and how deeply it affected him. Before the interview began, Dave read a few of the letters we received after Robert’s passing. It’s very touching.
In these days of slickness & hype & endless streams of bullcrap, it may seem rare to hear someone speak so honestly. This is a powerful interview. We hope you will listen, its about 15 minutes, its pretty special too.

The interview is here (MP3). It's great to see Dave after all these years and hours of hearing his voice. 'On October 13, 2017 the Associated Press released an eerie recording of a mysterious sound that was said to have been part of a “sonic attack” on American diplomats in Cuba. In August, State Department officials reported that several personnel at the Havana Embassy had been sickened by an unidentified acoustical weapon. The number of those affected in the sporadic, ongoing attacks is now at least two dozen. Several Canadian diplomats have reported similar health complaints. Symptoms include headaches, dizziness, nausea, fatigue, difficulty concentrating and remembering, insomnia, tinnitus, confusion, vertigo, hearing loss and “mild brain trauma.” Conspiracy theories abound with talk of secret military weapons from a foreign power or rogue agents, possibly Russian. But delve deeper, and the government’s claims begin to unravel.

'For starters, there is no concrete evidence of an attack. Experts agree that what is being reported is not consistent with how sonic weaponry works. A leading figure in the field of psychoacoustics, former MIT researcher Joseph Pompei, is adamant that the State Department’s claims violate the laws of physics. “Brain damage and concussions, it’s not possible,” he said, noting that to produce such an effect “Somebody would have to submerge their head into a pool lined with very powerful ultrasound transducers.”'

They were rendered paralyzed, helpless; unconscious and unaware; unable to call for help. It was Mattoon, Illinois, in the autumn of 1944. A number of residents reported waking in the middle of the night to a strange, sickly odor; experiencing various symptoms, including paralysis; and in some cases, seeing a prowler pumping some kind of gas into their house through an open window. The Mad Gasser of Mattoon was never caught, his victims never clearly diagnosed, his motives never revealed. Indeed, his very existence was never even proven. Almost fourteen years ago, neo-conservative operative Richard Perle gave an historically significant—or at least worth noting—speech at an American Enterprise Institute event entitled "Turkey at the Crossroads." Perle's speech was largely but not entirely overlooked at the time.
The following paragraph sums up the enthusiastic mindset of the neo-conservatives, the Bush administration and its lap-dogs in the media, and a large chunk of the American electorate who fell for the whole scam:

"So the problems that affect Americans and Turks are, I think, largely behind us. The problems in Iraq are ahead of us, but we're doing better than people think. And a year from now, I'll be very surprised if there is not some grand square in Baghdad that is named after President Bush. There is no doubt that, with the exception of a very small number of people close to a vicious regime, the people of Iraq have been liberated and they understand that they've been liberated. And it is getting easier every day for Iraqis to express that sense of liberation.

"MR. PERLE: The question was about Ahmed Chelabi and reference was to an article which I haven't read. But let me just say that the Iraqi people must choose their next government, their leaders. If they choose Ahmed Chelabi, I think they will have a very bright future.

"I can't imagine a leader who more fully embodies the values that caused the Americans to believe we should liberate Iraq. He believes in democracy. He believes in individual freedom. He's a Shia who does not want a theocracy in Iraq. And it pains me to see some officials of this government make disparaging remarks about him. For the most part, the disparagement comes from people who don't know him, who have never met him, and it's based on jealousies and in some cases embarrassment. Chelabi was right over many years when they were wrong.

John Ehrlichman, 1994:

'“You want to know what this was really all about?” he asked with the bluntness of a man who, after public disgrace and a stretch in federal prison, had little left to protect. “The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I’m saying? We knew we couldn’t make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders, raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did.”'

What a fucking surprise. (Huffington Post)

"...recruiting angry southern whites would not be enough for the Republicans to take the south. In many southern states more than 40% of potential voters were black. If they were allowed to vote, and if their votes were actually counted, all the reconstructed Democrat Party would need to hold the south would be a sliver of moderate white support.

Other candidates lie, of course, but they at least go to the trouble of dressing up their lies with weasel words and other forms of qualifying language that allow them to squirm their way out of fact checks. Fiorina doesn’t care about any of that. She makes firm, declarative statements that are unquestionably inaccurate, and when confronted with inarguable facts that prove her wrong, she insists against all evidence that she is correct and bristles at the very notion that anyone might challenger her. She does not care. She does not pretend to care. As far as Fiorina’s concerned, the fact that she said it is what makes it true."

Thanks to that recent false flag operation in France even Democrats in the US are suddenly afraid, very afraid of helpless women and children. There have been calls for interment of refugees in camps à la native-born Japanese-Americans in WWII (with not a spy or terrorist among them). Congressmen, Governors and Mayors across the nation are vowing to refuse refugees outright. This presents a legal problem because George W. Bush (remember him?) signed a bill limiting the power to accept or reject refugees to the President alone.

One person has replied succinctly:

From a viral email I received today:

<span style="font-family: "trebuchet ms" , sans-serif;">This video is very Important if you are using the flashlight on your smartphone.

Wow, that interview on Fox News about the insecurity of Android flashlight apps being "bigger than ebola" sure was scary...

...Here's the second thing I found with Google:

'The saying goes “If you’re not paying for a product, you are the product” and that remains true when it comes to something as simple as a flashlight app. It’s also true of SnoopWall itself, which has been pushing its own flashlight app (as a replacement for all the ones that are trying to overthrow the U.S. government, naturally) and the oddly named Privacy App which is designed to highlight any other apps on your Android device that are a security risk and could do you harm.

'While the app promises to “find all the apps that are spying on you,” the user reviews suggest it’s not doing much good. The entire front page of the app’s Google Play listing is filled with reviews saying that the app produces nothing but false positives. SnoopWall’s app highlights the Google Play Store app, the Google Maps app, and even proper antivirus software apps as being huge risks. If Google Maps is a virus, we're all in big trouble.

<span style="font-family: "zapf dingbats";">✂︎

'In fact, with so many negative written reviews it was shocking to see that the app still holds an overall solid rating of around 3.5 out of 5. I did a bit of digging and found the reason for SnoopWall’s above average Play Store status. It seems the app score is being buoyed by a massive chunk of ratings that all landed at the same time, including one day where the app received nothing but perfect five-star reviews.'

Daily Dot

As always Snopes is a font of information:

'SnoopWall's "threat assessment report" suggested that flashlight apps are more prone to requesting access to unneeded permissions and data than any other category of app, but as Wired noted, many other types of apps "want access to information they probably shouldn't," and the fact that a given app has access to data doesn't necessarily mean the app is actually stealing that data and transmitting it to internatonal cybercriminals.'

Snopes

FUD. Fake reviews. Bogusware.

And the icing on the cake: did you notice that the close-up in the video was of an iPhone, which has the flashlight function built-in?
There is so much more to learn about front runner Ben Carson, M.D:

'At the core of his narrative of spiritual redemption are his acts of violence as an angry young man — stabbing, rock throwing, brick hurling and baseball bat beating — that preceded Carson's sudden transformation into the composed figure who stands before voters today.

'...nine friends, classmates and neighbors who grew up with Carson told CNN they have no memory of the anger or violence the candidate has described.

'Carson's campaign adviser and business manager, Armstrong Williams, declined repeated requests by CNN to provide details… "Why would anyone cooperate with your obvious witch hunt?" Williams wrote in an email last Friday. "No comment and moving on...... Happy Halloween!!!!!”'

It’s a “witch hunt” to ask for corroboration of odd statements a man running for president has made publicly? (CNN)

The funniest thing about about religion and politics over the last 35 years is how “christians” who traditionally hate each others’ guts have come together to fight their perceived common enemies. In 2012 they finally embraced a Mormon, now it’s a Seventh-Day Adventist. I suppose the Jehovah’s Witnesses will enter the fold in 2020.
Back to Ben:

"Ben Carson claims that the Egyptian pyramids were constructed by the biblical Joseph to store huge quantities of grain and were not, as is commonly believed, tombs for the pharaohs.”

And

'Carson claims that he came up with the idea for a musical based on the story of Joseph and his coat of many colors during a surgical consultation with a patient named Jacob Brandman… in 1998, 30 years after [the musical] Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat premiered.
Now let’s get down and dirty. Another horny “christian” male tries really hard to get his dick wet but ends up sticking it in his mouth:

'Let me try and explain this in another way. In Greek mythology there was a monster woman named Medusa. She was a cursed and hideous creature and if men looked upon her face they were turned to stone. I know you love your wife, most men love their wives. But sin is ugly. Your beautiful bride’s face becomes ugly during this sinful time that she is grudgingly giving you sex as she grimaces wanting you to “just hurry up and get it over with”.

'So like the men who could not look at Medusa’s face otherwise they would be killed, realize that if you look on your wife’s face when she is displaying a sinful attitude toward sex it will kill your sexual pleasure and may actually make it much more difficult for you to achieve the physical connection and release that you need. Again you know you want that emotional connection too, but your wife is the one who is in sinful rebellion against God’s design for sex in your marriage and is refusing to emotionally connect with you.’

He goes on and on like this. In order to explain his utterly fucked “christian” version of the minefield of marital sex he has to invoke a Greek myth! The sound of ass. Ben Carson M.D., who like so many right-wing talking heads has bafflingly become relevant in our time, rather like comets appearing from out of nowhere one night on Fox News (or returned from purgatory after an unexpectedly less-than-perpetural period of public disgrace).

'Perhaps most mortifying for Walker is that the plan is being publicly panned by the Wisconsin chapter of Americans for Prosperity. Federal intelligence apparatus types are unhappy about the future of data encryption:

"Why do you think Apple and Google are doing this? It's because the public is demanding it. A public does not want an out-of-control surveillance state"

"Apple and Google don't have coercive power. District attorneys do, the FBI does, the NSA does, and to me it's very simple to draw a privacy balance when it comes to law enforcement and privacy: just follow the damn Constitution. And because the NSA didn't do that and other law enforcement agencies didn't do that, you're seeing a vast public reaction to this."
